Customization Guide

Customization is the focus of this website. Narrow and broad stainless steel strip, precision alloy strip and sheet can all be requested to your requirements. This guide shows what to prepare so your request is clear from the first message.

Custom requirement checklist

Work through these items before you submit. Skip anything you do not know yet.

  1. Grade / material

The stainless steel grade or standard from your specification.

Quote the grade designation exactly as it appears on your drawing or purchase specification so the request is read the way you wrote it.

  2. Thickness

Target thickness, with the unit (mm or inch).

State the nominal thickness you need and the unit. If your drawing calls for a tolerance, describe it and share the drawing with the sales team after they reply.

  3. Width

Required strip width or sheet width, with the unit.

Width also helps decide between narrow and broad strip, so include it even if you are unsure which family applies.

  4. Surface finish

The surface appearance you need, in your own words or by reference.

Describe the finish, or point to the standard or sample you are matching. Leave blank if the finish is still open.

  5. Edge condition

Any edge requirement for the strip or sheet.

Mention edge requirements that matter for your downstream process, or leave blank if you have no preference.

  6. Coil size

For strip: inner diameter, outer diameter or coil weight, if you have a preference.

Only relevant for strip. Share any limits your equipment places on coil dimensions or weight.

  7. Quantity

Total quantity, or quantity per size, with the unit.

If you need several sizes, list the quantity for each one or attach a simple table.

  8. Application

What the material is for and how you plan to process it.

A short description of the end use and any forming, cutting or finishing steps helps review your request in context.

  9. Optional

    Drawing or specification sheet

If you have one, mention it in your request and share the file after the sales team replies.

A drawing can help clarify dimensions, tolerances and finish requirements. Share the file with the sales team after they reply.

How a custom inquiry works

  1. Share your requirements

Choose a product family and send the details you have.

Grade, dimensions, finish, edge condition, quantity and intended use. Mention a drawing if you have one; partial details are fine to start.

  2. Confirm the request details

Your request is reviewed and the details are confirmed with you.

Anything missing or unclear is clarified with you before a quote is prepared, so the quote matches what you actually need.

  3. Receive a quote

You receive a quote based on the confirmed requirements.

Specifications, feasibility and commercial terms are confirmed order by order after review of each request.

What is confirmed after review

Zhongda does not publish fixed grade, width, thickness or tolerance ranges on this website. Each request is reviewed and its details are confirmed with you before a quote is prepared.

  • Whether the product family and form fit your request
  • Grade, dimensions, tolerances and surface finish
  • Edge condition and coil size, where they apply
  • Quantity and commercial terms

Preparing a drawing or specification sheet

A drawing, sketch or specification sheet is a clear way to communicate requirements. Mark dimensions with their units and note any finish or edge requirements. You can share the file with the sales team after they reply.

Ready to describe your requirements?

Send your product family, dimensions, grade, finish and quantity. Mention any drawing you can share after the sales team replies.
